  • We are delighted to announce the winners of the ISFF short film awards

    This year, the festival received over 400 submissions and 80 short films were included in the final program. The ISFF Jury included Carl Zimmer (Science Author and Journalist), David Eagelman (Neuroscientist and Writer), Darcy Kelley (Harold Weintraub and HHMI Professor of Biological Sciences at Columbia University), and Robb Moss (Documentary Filmmaker and Harvard Professor).

    Scientific Merit Award – $2,500

    WINNER: EAGLEMAN STAG

    The 2011 jury, consisting of Carl Zimmer, David Eagelman, Darcy Kelley, and Robb Moss have selected “Eagleman Stag” as the winner of the Nature Scientific Merit Award. The Nature Scientific Merit Award is awarded to a short film that exemplifies                                                                         science in narrative filmmaking in a compelling, credible and inspiring manner.

    People’s Choice Award – $1,000

    WINNER: UNTIL

    The audience of the 4th Annual Imagine Science Film Festival has selected “Until” as the winner of the Nature People’s Choice Award. The Nature People’s Choice Award is given to a short film which receives the most audience votes during the festival.

    WINNER: CHASING BIRDS IN BERINGI
