Imagine Science Films will highlight a new video series called Search Stories at this year’s festival. The series depicts people whose searches lead to astonishing innovations and entertaining discoveries — from searching for new sources of energy, to finding and surfing on a 1,000 year-old wave.

This year’s program features a film about Carline Moore, an amateur astronomer, who became the youngest person to discover a supernova.
