DIRECTOR BIO
Philip Hunt is Co-Owner & Creative Director at London animation studio, STUDIO AKA. In the last decade STUDIO AKA has developed into a world-class animation company whose directors & designers are known for their idiosyncratic excellence and innovation. An MA Graduate of London’s Royal College of Art, Philip’s Directing work includes the multi-award winning short film AH POOK IS HERE – an interpretation of recordings by the late William S. Burroughs – which is included in both the Burroughs retrospective exhibition: PORTS OF ENTRY, and the permanent collection of the Goethe institute. Philip has also acted as an advisor and executive producer on short films inside and out of the
studio and is currently directing a half hour adaptation of a best selling children’s book. Alongside regular lectures at colleges and festivals worldwide, Philip is also an external assessor & advisory panel member for several institutions across Europe and has contributed to numerous publications on the creative animation process.
